Well, we made it through our first week of Walk to Read. We've found that most of our little friends are right where they need to be. However, we've also found a few that belong in another group. Don't be surprised if your child says a new person is in their reading group or THEY go to a new group starting Tuesday. We just want to be sure we're meeting every child's needs. One full week down! The kids have been GREAT this week. I can tell today that they are tired, though! I hope every family has some rest time over the weekend. We painted with our high school helper, Brendan, this week. We also visited every first grade classroom during reading. On Monday, your child will start to "Walk to Read". We have leveled reading classes. Ask your child on Monday about their new reading teacher!:)
Hello all! We had a CRAZY, wonderful first 3 days this week. On Friday, our Mayor read us a book about being a "Bucket Filler". We'll be talking about that a lot this week, and then throughout the year. Please ask your child about how they filled a bucket, or who filled theirs this week.
